Explore winding channels to reveal the secrets if the Mekong Delta
The Mekong river snakes it’s way from the Tibetan plateau through five countries before fanning out in Vietnam to form the impressive Mekong Delta. Spanning 12 provinces the ‘Nine Dragon river delta’ supports life for millions of people and is integral for agriculture, fisheries and transport.
In this trip students will explore the relationship between people, places and environment through an investigation of issues facing the delta today. Students will be immersed into life on the water and learn about the issues facing local people and the adaptations that are being made in light of the changing environment. This schedule is combined with cultural excursions and activities that highlight the natural beauty of the area.
