When were the caves of Phong Nha explored? How were caves used during the Vietnam-American War? What remnants of the war still stand?

Phong Nha Cave Exploration

Imagine a cave wide enough for a boeing 747 to fit inside! Imagine stalactites as tall as 12 giraffes all standing on top of each other! Welcome to Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park, home to some of the longest and largest caves in the world. This UNESCO World Heritage site offers spectacular cave exploration opportunities and some great stuff above ground too- cycling, kayaking and visiting sites from the Vietnam- American War such as bomb craters and hideouts. This trip can easily be combined with a trip to the ancient capital of Vietnam, Hue, a small city packed full of historical buildings and relics from its royal past.

All our trips can be adapted or amended to meet the needs and curriculum requirements of students (IB/GSCE or other).
